The Palace

PictureLuke Climbing "Churchill Rejects"
Churchill Rejects: (5.9+)
- This route is extremely fun. In the warmer months it gets sun all the way into the deep afternoon providing a great route to save for the last in the day. Flaky holds and a slanted crack provide a route where you definitely have to utilize both good foot and body placement. Follow the crack as it slants up and to the right. The route requires clipping 8 bolts and is around 55 feet tall.

-To get to the route take the first left at the fork after crossing the river. Follow the trail up the canyon keeping the stream of your left and the rock face your right.  It is located on the Lower Chamber directly left of the last route on the Mineshaft Wall and could be considered a side wall extension of Mineshaft. The chimney that it is located on creates a gap between the Mineshaft face and the Lower Chamber.

Directions: Crystal Wall and The Palace are located exactly 15 miles from Ted's Place. So set your odometer, head west, and keep an eye out for the tunnel because the pull off parking is a few hundred yards after it on the right.
