The Palace

PictureTom Climbing "Cheerleaders Gone Hippie"
Cheerleaders Gone Hippie: (5.9+)
-A great route for mid level climbers looking to take their game to the next level. It consists of a crack start with crimp and jug holds. It soon transfers over into a multitude of hold types including a large bowling ball sized hold protruding out of the rock just above the crux of a small indented crack. It is fun to plant your feet and just dyno to it because any way you get your hands on it, they will stick.

-The route is located on the Poudre Face, it is the third one from the left. To get to it, take the first right in the trail after crossing the river. Follow the trail up keeping the rock face of your left. (Mind you, you should be able to see the tunnel and Crystal Wall from every route on the Poudre Face.)

Directions: Crystal Wall and The Palace are located exactly 15 miles from Ted's Place. So set your odometer, head west, and keep an eye out for the tunnel because the pull off parking is a few hundred yards after it on the right.
