Just any easy ride on the trail from the A parking lot and then down the A.
It was a great trip; other than the difficulty of riding up through what the guide books call a "rock garden". As with most mountain biking it is a lot of uphill before the fun can begin. Once out of the rock garden the ride got much easier. For the tear drop at the top of the ride we took the right turn and proceeded up the less step section of riding to the top. This was a great choice because on our way down the steeper section you were able to just bomb it. Hardly any breaking at all and the scenery was phenomenal. Then on returning to the rock garden after fixing a few flat tires; we were able to ride through most of it. Though a few areas required a bit of scouting or just walking it was much more fun going down. Overall: 8/10 top section on the tear drops was one of my favorite parts of any ride anywhere. Blue is an easy trip for those who want a easy to moderate trail it has up and down trails so no constants up hill riding to get to what you want. Winter Park, Colorado
Only very experienced mountain bikers who are familiar with downhill mountain biking should attempt to ride Trestle Bike Park. The trails consist of large jumps, banked turns, wooden structures and other obstacles. Full body armor is highly recommended due to the speed and air time you will experience where a single wrong move could turn deadly. A mountain bike ride on Centennial Cone (near Golden, CO) with Tanner, Kevin and Tom. This trail is long but not very technical. A good intermediate ride. |
