Bobcat Ridge

A day that began with a wake up from our short night of sleep we quickly loaded the bikes and were off on the short 45 minute drive from Fort Collins to the trail head. We then began our long ascent that end up being equal parts walking running and biking to get to the top of the ridge. Once we were atop the ridge we stopped and proceed to screw around by throwing anything we could pick up and also posed like the US soldiers did atop Iwo Jima. Then we began the downhill which was great. Although I would recommend the biggest tires you can get the trail is possible with almost any type of mountain bike. We had a great time; although my bike took quite a beating and my forward gear number one was rendered useless. All in all the trail was great and well worth the effort to get to the top of the ridge. As great as it was to have some fun you must be ready to wreck as everyone in our party wrecked at least once and as for myself I had 2 wrecks. 3/30/2014

Likability 8/10 You definitely earn the fun on this ride with the entire first half being an arduous uphill battle. Once at the top, the views and downhill are worth the climb.
