Danner Boots

Danner Boots as a whole have received rave reviews from both my father and myself in personal use. I have also heard much from many other owners of Danner boots in the same respect. I have the mountaineering style boots and my father has more hiking flexible style. Both are useful in almost every area of outdoor adventuring. I have become a strong believer over my 2 years as a owner of the boots, and I am definable going to get another pair of Danner Boots when I finally need a new pair of boots. Down to there performance; they are exceptional at helping you carry heavy loads up to 100 lbs, and they also have great traction. I have also never had much of a problem with my feet getting wet unless it has come over the top of the boot itself.

Likability: 9.9/10 Best pair of boots I have ever owned. My dad also loves his pair as much or more than I do.

Eddie Bauer Snow Shovel

Let me start off with the fact that this review will be harsh. It was not even able to finish its' first snow cave in our experience without breaking. It has the positives of being light weight and able to break down easily. Otherwise though it should be a last resort and something more durable should be purchased for use in harsh environments, and where you will be moving a lot of snow.

Likability 3/10 It did a great job until it broke. Failure in the outdoors though can be life threatening so I would recommend if you know you will need to dig a snow cave or dig out a vehicle seek other equipment.

Survival Straps Bracelet

A cool looking bracelet and a great source of about 10 feet of 550 cord when you need it. I wear mine often and have deployed it once. Only draw back is that it can not be re tied and must get it replaced or make a new one.

Likablity: 9.5/10 I love the service provided by Survival Straps because it was only $5 dollars to get it replaced.

Thermarest Trail Lite Sleeping Pad

One of my best investments for both backpacking and normal overnight car trips. It is light enough for long haul backpacking trips, and comfortable enough for a leisure overnight trip.

Likability: 9/10 Only downside is the time it takes to inflate in cold weather.

Badlands Superday Backpack

Possibly one of the best day packs you can buy on the current market. It has ample pockets to keep all of your gear organized. I have used this thing for short and long day trips, and recently my friend Tom borrowed it for a one night backpacking trip. The pack has exceeded expectation and has quickly become my go to bag for most trip. To top it all off Badlands has an unconditional lifetime warranty on all of their product.
